Thanks for posting. The story of Bess is one of 50 stories capturing a typical day in the life of an American school district. Our 50 film crews followed 50 subjects – administrators, teachers, students, support staff, and volunteers – on 28 campuses in one day. The short films show the amazing diversity of people involved and opportunities available in one urban public school district. The feature length documentary is currently in post-production and interweaves all the subjects as they go through their day. As a country, we need to value and support public education and we hope this project helps raise awareness and understanding about the complexity of meeting the needs of all children. You can view all the short films at http://www.gopublicproject.org.
